Biography:

I have been a counselor in Private Practice for over 25 years. I believe in structing therapy around an individual client's wants and needs at the time. My clients learn how to be proactive, take risks, set limits and reach goals. I help them learn how to become assertive and express their feelings and their needs through communication skills. The therapy I use is solution-oriented and short-termed to help clients be in the solution and not remain in the problem. I listen to clients' problems and together we work on them with the goal being to change self-defeating behaviors and self-destructive relationships. Clients learn how to change them into positive proactive behaviors and positive, respectful relationships. I coach clients on their personal and career issues so they are able to change problem behaviors, and self-defeating beliefs in order to reach their goals. I show clients how to establish boundaries and limits so they may have life affirming relationships and get the respect they deserve.
